Ganpati Aarti meaning in English

 

Daily we will perform aarti of Ganaraya, 

but do you know its meaning?

Sukhharta Dukhaharta

Means :- 

(Giver of happiness, remover of sorrow) It is believed that God Ganesha is removal of all our sorrows and He showers upon us only happiness and good things. 

Nurvi

It means :-

Destroys the ocean of sorrow. We have a life full of sorrow and sadness and being a destroyer of sorrow Ganesha has a solution to every problem. 

Purvi Prem Kripa Jayachi

Means :- 

When his grace is received, the devotee benefits from the shower of love. God is for devotion . He is also a Giver of true love and happiness. 

Sarvangi sundar Uti Shendurachi 

Meaning:- 

Ganesha is beautiful in every way. He has planted the shendura ooty. Every aspect of God Ganesha is beautiful and pure. 

Kanthi Zhalke Mal Muktafalachi 

Meaning :- 

A pearl necklace is shining in his neck.

Jay Dev Jay Dev Jay Mangalamurthy 

Darshan matre mann: Kamana Purti.

Means:- 

Praise be to you, O God! You are the actual idol of Mangala. All the desires of the devotees are fulfilled by your mere darshan. If you only see the face of God Ganesha all your desires, dreams, hopes and feelings will fulfilled by God. 

Ratnakhchit fara tuj Gaurikumara.

Meaning:-

O Gaurikumara, the front part of the jeweled crown is on your forehead.

Chandanachi  uti Kumkum keshara.

Means :-

You have applied Sandalwood paste mixed with kunku and saffron which is highly valuable.

Hirejadit mukut shobhato bara

Meaning :- 

A crown studded with diamonds is seen adorning your head.

Runzhunati Nupure Charani Ghagaria.

Means :- 

The humming of bells in the anklets of your feet is making a soft sound . 

Lambodar Pitambar Phanivarbandhana.

Means :- 

Having a big belly, wearing a pitambara(yellow colored cloth) having a serpent's band (Kad dora) around the waist.

Saral Sond Vakratunda Trinayana.

Means :- 

Those who have a straight trunk (God Ganesha has a elephant's head) crooked face, i.e. those who walk and talk in a crooked way (evil way) by punishing them and bringing them to the straight path. Ganesha give punishment to bad people and show them good path Trinayana (having 3 )

Das Ramacha wat pahe Sagana

Means :- 

O Ganapati I am Rama's servant(followers) (Das = Samartha Ramdas swami Composer of Ganpati Arti  ) I am eagerly waiting for you in my house.

Sankati should be pavave, nirvani rakshave  Survaravandana .

Means :-

O Survaravandana(Who is worshiped by all Gods) - O Gajanana who is worshiped by the best of gods, please help me in all times of distress. Take care of me - Protect me at the time of final sacrifice, a humble prayer at your feet.
