B) Speech Writing on 'My Idea of India as a Developed CountryB) Speech Writing on 'My Idea of India as a Developed Country'.

Honourable Chief guest, dignitaries on the dais, teachers and all my fiiends present over here. I take this great opportunity to express my ideas of India as a developed country.
You know that one of the great visionaries, Dr. Abdul Kalam, Who just left us forever, has prophesised in his 'Vision 2020' that India will be a developed country by 2020. And being an Indian I also expee( the same.
When I dream to be a citizen of a developed nation, I always have a question in my mind, What would it be like?
You see, even after the six decades of lndependence, there are many problems still prevailing in the society. They are the major berries in the development of the country. Unless and until, we overcome the barriers,   ours can't be a developed nation.
To me, in developed India there would be no hunger, no child would die ofmalnutrition, there will be no povelty. It's quite unfoftunatc that even today a large section of the society is far away from education. So, I expect that this underprivileged class would get a quality education. Every child will go to school.
We know, in developing India, there is a broad dividing line between rural and urban development. But in developed India, there would have ample employment opportunities in villages also. Every village will have the world class healthcare facilities such as hospitals, pure drinking water, proper sewerage and sanitation system etc, This is one of the important indicators of a developed country. In short, the village will be a true projection of Gandiji's idea.

So, friends if you want to live in such a developed nation, you have a great responsibility to eradicate all the problems which are hurdles in the way of India's development.

Thank you.

"Here is a fine piece of turf for the lark," said one of the boys, and  began to cut out a square round the daisy, so that it remained inthe cente ofthe grass.
''Pluck the flower off' said the other boy, and the daisy tembled for fear, for to be pulled offmeant deathto it; and it wished so muchto.live, as   it was to go with the square of turf  into the poor captive lark's cage.
"No let it stay," said the other boy, "it looks so pretty."

And so it stayed, and was brought into the lark's cage. The poor  bird was lamenting its lost liberty, andbeating its wings againstthe wires;  and the little daisy could not speak or utter a consoling word, much as it would have liked to do so. So the forenoon passed.
"I have no water," said the captive lark, 'theyhave all gone out, and forgotten to give me anything to drink. My throat is dry and burning. I feel as ifl had fire and ice within me and the air is so oppressive. Alas! I must die, and part with the warm sunshine, the fresh green meadows, and all the   beauty that God has created." And it thrust its beak into the piece of grass, to refresh itselfa little. Then it noticed the little daisy, and nodded to it, and   kissed it with its beak and said: "You must also fade in here, poor little  flower. You and the piece ofgass are all they have given me in exchange for the whole world, which I enjoyed outside. Each little blade of grass shall be a green tree for me , each ofyourwhite petals a fragrant flower.
Alas! you onlyremind me ofwhatIhave lost."

 ANSWERS

B- 2) Hearing the lamenting of the lark, the boys' mother came there. She noticed the lark in a cage beating its wings against the wire. She also noticed the lark was dying of thirst and food and the little daisy flower was withering away. She felt very sad for that. At the same time, she was angry with her children for their cruel act.
She said, "O pretty lark, you were singing happily yesterday and look! what my boys have done with you and this pretty flower is also withering away." "I should bring water forthe bird and little daisy' she whispered.
Hearing this, the lark and the daisy lightened up and there raised a hope of living a life again.
Mother brought water and gave the lark, sprinckled some on the little daisy. As soon as the lark drank water, he started singing happily and daisy started cheerfully swaying from side to side with happiness. Mother said, "I will teach a good lesson to my boys." & set the bird free and replanted the daisy.
The lark was grateful and started singing a happy tune and flew high up inthe sky in the warm sunlight. Little daisy watched him with immense satisfaction.

'TIIE FINEST METAL IIAS TO GO TIIROUGII THE HOTTEST FIRE'

You may know the above cited proverb which means that even the 'Gold' has to go through the fire to prove its purity. If we apply the same maxim to the entrance tests the students have to face, we can say that the  entrance tests are not burden to the students. On the other hand they are

opportunities for students to prove their quality. Entrance tests have their own importance for students and ensuring the quality ofthe respective courses.
I, here, strongly discard the belief put in the view section that the entrance tests are burden to the students. On the other hand I take it as an opportunity for the students to seek admissions in top institutes and to excel. Ifa studentwishes to get admission inrecoglized governmentinstitutes such as 11T, 11M or other premier private schools, he has to face the entrances conducted by the respective institutes. He Will get the opportunity to study in such institutes only on the basis ofhis ability not on the basis of his family status or wealth. So, how can we say that the entrance tests are burden? These tests are the only channel to select the eligible and the most efficient students for the respective courses?
No doubt there is always a sort of burden of study and parents' expectations but it should be rather taken positively. The students should remember that we can put our best efforts only under some pressure. Here the parents need to work as counselors not as dictators. One more reason  to take entrance tests as burden is that there is a cut throat competition for admission and failures may lead to fatalities like suicides ofthe students. But keep in mind ' Survival ofthe Fittest' is a rule ofthe nature, so, the competition is obvious. Inevitably we have to face it. Ifwe are dedicated to our aim, then it should not be a burden. The failure should not be taken as an end ofthe career. To avoid such would be dangers some counseling sessions should be organized. When a student is determined to reach his goal a mere entrance test cannot stop him from moving forward.

Speech Writing on the topic" Role of students in modern India

B) Write a speech about 100 words on the topic" Role of students in modern India" to be delivered in your classroom.

B) Speech Writing.: 3

Respected teachers and my dear friends, at first, a very good  morning to all of you.
It gives me immense pleasure to express my thoughts  on an important topic 'Role of Students in Modern India'

Friends, it is true that students can play a significant role in the significant development of any country. Education and agriculture are the backbone of modern India. Students are the most important and progressive section of a country . It is through their selfless service that India will tide over  crisis and take her proper place in the world. We expect that the modern India should be educated.
In India, as we know, most people are illiterate. This illiteracy is a curse to our national life. Is it a good picture? Friends, It is our duty to  come to the aid of poor people, educate them and make them enjoy the fruits of freedom. The modem India should have the latest technology in agriculture. In the countryside most people are agriculturist. It is our duty to teach them the new techniques in agricultural science to high yielding  seeds and proper manures. They should also be taught the use of electronic, so they can safely enter the 21st century. We must teach the villagers fundamentals of hygiene and to practice them in day to day life. They must come out to help them in distress, because we must not forget the future of India depends on them.
Friends, we should realize the importance of the relationship between an individual and the society. Students can play a vital role in strengthening and improving the society. The simple fact is that 'united we stand, and departed we fall'. Students are energetic, they can engage themselves in literacy campaign, they should be enthusiastic about opening blood donation camps, health centres, collecting funds through subscriptions etc. It is the student who should undertake there sponsibility of fighting  against anti-social activities of a few corrupt people. We should not forget the student; of today lay the foundation of modern India. Students should keep in mind one thing 'Charity begins at home'. So friends, let's take an oath to help the deprived in society and give our little share in the development of modem India. I hope, you will take the initiative to fulfill the dream of modern India.

Thank you.
