 I. "Our success has forced giants to become more competitive," Dell says.

Ans: Dell says that their success has forced giants to become more competitive.

2. "I will try," the shopkeeper smiled.

Ans: The shopkeeper smiled and said that he would try.

3. "Did you like the story,Meenu?" Raghu asked.

Ans: Raghu asked Meenu if she had liked the story.

4. "There was barely any breathing space," said Saraswati Devi.

Ans: Saraswati Devi said that there had been barely any breathing space.

5. He said "you are a fool/Sheku!"

Ans:He told Sheku that he was a fool.

 6. "You're wasting your time," the rest of the family said.

 Anc The rest of the family said that he was wasting his time.

7. "I couldn't bear to miss this chance," he says.

Ans: He says that he couldn't bear to miss that chance.

8. "1 have to quit college", he replied. "1 want to start my own company."  (Rewrite into indirectspeech.)

Ans.' He replied that he had to quit college and added that he wanted to start his own company.

9. "What exactly is it that you want to do ?" asked his father.

 Ans: His father asked What exactly it was that he wanted to do.

10. "Ihave the money", he solemnly told the owner.

Ans: He solemnly told the owner that he had the money.

11. He tumed to Chandan and said, "see how contented my people are." (Rewrite into indirect speech)

Ans: He turned to Chandan and told him to see how contented his people.were.

12. He said, 'you can easily borrow one for me.'
Ans: He said that he could easily borrow one for him.

13. My friend asked if I wanted fresh coconut water. (Change into direct speech)

Ans: My friend asked, "Do you want fresh coconut water
